Prague Zoo is celebrating the end of the school year by offering special events for children. On Friday, June 30th, admission will only cost one crown for all visitors under 15. The zoo will have a children’s program for both weekend days. The Friday program is from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with guided tours starting every hour before the Educational Center. During the tours, children can look for freely living birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects in the zoo.
On Saturday and Sunday, July 1st and 2nd, there will be guided tours with a guide among hippos, antelopes, and giraffes every hour between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The event is free and starts at the northern entrance to the garden.
New Female Hrabace in the African House
The ranks of inhabitants of Prague Zoo have been expanded by a new female Hrabace kapského named Sabi. She is already visible in the African House, where she is living.
Life in the City
A vernissage of spider exhibition will take place on Sunday, where participants can see the world’s most enormous spiders, Theraphosa blondi, or atypically looking representatives of spiders, Cyclocosmia latusicosta, which strikingly resemble Oreo cookies. The program, including music, starts at 1:00 pm at Gocar Houses.
Throughout the weekend, there will be guided feedings and meetings full of interesting information about animals, supplemented with competition questions. Those who actively participate will receive a small reward.
