The Art Deco Imperial Hotel in the heart of Prague is up for sale. The unions, which currently own the property, offer the hotel for a minimum of 2.15 billion crowns, as reported by HN.cz. The five-star hotel, located at the corner of Na Poříčí and Zlatnická streets, boasts 126 rooms and houses the Café Imperial restaurant, co-owned by Zdeněk Pohlreich.
The Art Deco Imperial Hotel has a rich history. It opened in 1914 and underwent a significant renovation between 2005 and 2007. Now, the property is owned by the association called Majetková, správní a delimitační unie odborových svazů.
Unions commenced the selection process for potential buyers on Monday. “Our associates have now decided to sell the building,” Jiří Bulan, who is in charge of the sale and rental of properties at Majetková, správní a delimitační unii odborových svazů, told HN.cz.
However, Bulan assured us that this doesn’t mean they must leave entitle the hotel business. According to the server, the union also owns the building of the Olšanka hotel in Prague 3 and has mountain pensions in its portfolio.
Recently, the prices of properties in the center of Prague have been noteworthy. For instance, the Czech Post recently offered the state a building on Jindřišská Street, near the hotel, for sale for 1.5 billion crowns. This property is considerably more expansive.
Interestingly, the nearby Jindřišská Tower, which houses a café and exhibition spaces, was valued at 100 million crowns by the Prague Archbishopric.
