According to a Median poll, the first round of the presidential election would be won by ANO chief and former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš with 25.5 percent of the vote, with former Czech Army Chief of Staff Petr Pavel in second place with 21 percent.
Even with the two strongest presidential candidates, voter shares are even. Only two percentage points behind the third-place Středula is the former rector of Mendel University, Danuše Nerudová, in fourth place with seven percent of the vote. Senator Pavel Fischer is in fifth place, with six percent.
In June, 61 percent of respondents said they would participate in the presidential election. Median results are based on the responses of 1,038 eligible voters.
Josef Středula (9 per cent), Danuše Nerudová (7), Pavel Fischer (6), Miroslava Němcová (4.5), Marek Hilšer (4), Karel Janeček (3), Václav Klaus Sr. (3), Lenka Bradáčová (3), Alena Vitásková (2.5) and Michael Kocáb (2) would be next.
Babiš has the most robust core.
However, if all the people considering voting for a given candidate and not ruling out participating in the election were included, the order would change. Pavel has the most potential voters, with 34.4 percent. Babiš has 33.5 percent, and Fischer would be third with 21.1 percent.
However, Babiš has the most substantial core of people who are firmly confident about their choice of candidate and turnout at the polls, with 19 percent. For Pavel, the electoral core is 11.2 percent.
A similar order of prominence was also found in the Ipsos electoral model published on July 22. Babiš would win the first round of the presidential election with 31.7 percent of the vote, while Pavel would come in second with 23.8 percent. Neruda would finish third, with 10.8 percent of the vote.
Median conducted the poll from May 18 to July 8. 1,038 people over 18 participated.
