Czech businesses are rapidly embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to maintain and enhance their competitive edge. A remarkable 39% of companies have now implemented AI solutions, nearly triple the number from the previous year. The surge doesn’t stop there – an additional 44% of firms are planning to adopt AI technologies.
According to Jiří Hub, CEO of Asseco Solutions, 2024 marked a turning point, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. Following a period of cautious spending, companies began viewing digitalization as a strategic necessity for maintaining competitiveness.
The AI implementation primarily focuses on automating routine tasks, document processing, customer support, and predictive data analysis. Only 17% of companies now indicate no plans to use AI – a dramatic shift from last year when nearly half were resistant to adoption.
Creative Dock’s Data Director, Adam Hanka, suggests that companies could reduce costs by up to 80% through proper AI implementation. These savings come from AI’s ability to handle repetitive tasks such as data collection, sorting, and analysis.
The movement toward AI adoption isn’t just a business choice – it’s becoming a regulatory requirement. Since February 2025, the EU’s AI Act has mandated companies to ensure their employees are sufficiently AI-literate, capable of understanding AI basics and critically evaluating its outputs within ethical and legal frameworks.
