Asian Tourists Return to the Czech Republic

Novinky

The Czech Republic is once again becoming a sought-after destination for visitors from Asia. Tourist numbers, particularly from China and South Korea, are showing year-on-year increases and beginning to approach pre-COVID figures.

This resurgence can be attributed to several factors. The restoration of direct air connections from Beijing and Seoul has made travel more accessible for Asian tourists eager to explore Central Europe.

Adding to this momentum is China’s most successful reality show, “Divas Hit the Road: Bond of Hearts,” which recently filmed episodes in Prague and Český Krumlov. The popular program has significantly boosted the Czech Republic’s visibility among Chinese audiences.

Travel patterns indicate that visitors from these Asian countries typically spend an average of three days in the Czech Republic, focusing their itineraries on key cultural and historical attractions.

Industry experts view this recovery as a positive sign for Czech tourism, which suffered substantial losses during the pandemic years when Asian markets virtually disappeared from the international travel landscape.
