Coldest Weather Expected Mid-December, Meteorologists Forecast

According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute’s long-term forecast, the next four weeks will see average temperatures, with the coldest period anticipated between December 9-15, when daily maximum temperatures will hover just above freezing.

The first week of the forecast period, from November 25 to December 1, will start with above-average temperatures, gradually dropping to between 1 and 6°C, with nighttime temperatures falling to between 4 and -1°C. Snow is expected to appear at elevations above 500 meters.

The week of December 2-8 is predicted to maintain average temperatures around 3°C. The following week will bring the season’s coldest spell, with nighttime temperatures averaging around -3°C and daytime highs around 1°C.

The final period of the forecast, December 16-22, is expected to see slightly warmer temperatures compared to the previous week, though still remaining within seasonal averages. Precipitation levels will remain stable, with meteorologists predicting 5 to 12 millimeters of rainfall per week.

The overall average temperature for the entire period is forecasted at 0.7°C, with total precipitation expected to reach 37 millimeters.
