Easter Weather Special: Warm Temperatures Persist Despite Mild Cool-Down, Thunderstorms Expected

The Czech Republic is set to experience continued warm weather throughout the Easter holidays, with warm air flowing from the south. However, residents should prepare for afternoon showers and thunderstorms as a weak pressure system develops over Central Europe.

Thursday’s forecast promises partly cloudy to mostly clear skies, with temperatures reaching an impressive 22-27°C. Visibility may be reduced by Saharan dust, while moderate to fresh southeastern winds could gust up to 55 km/h in the Vysočina region.

The weather pattern shifts on Friday, bringing overcast conditions and scattered showers with possible thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain pleasant at 16-21°C, though the southwestern regions will experience slightly cooler conditions around 14°C.

The Easter weekend will see variable conditions, with Saturday bringing occasional rain and temperatures between 16-20°C. Easter Sunday will start clear but develop into scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in the northwestern regions, with temperatures reaching 19-23°C.

Easter Monday will maintain the mild conditions, with partly cloudy skies and occasional showers. Temperatures will stay comfortable at 19-23°C, perfect for traditional Easter celebrations. The pattern is expected to continue into the following week, with daily showers and temperatures remaining slightly above 20°C.
