According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), July’s weather outlook promises temperature and precipitation fluctuations. After a relatively cooler start to the month, we can expect above-average temperatures next week.
The beginning of the month will bring temperatures on the borderline of below-average to average temperatures. In the second forecast week, temperatures will rise above average. According to meteorologists, although there will be temperature drops in the second half of the month, they will only reach values around the long-term average.
Next week, the highest daily temperatures are expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius. Overall, July temperatures are expected to be around the average for this period, between 18 and 19.7 °C.
The month is also expected to stay within the average range in terms of precipitation. The only exception will be next week when lower precipitation totals are expected due to warm and sunny weather.
“Due to the storm season, precipitation totals can vary significantly over shorter periods,” the meteorologists reminded.
Typically, the Czech Republic receives an average rainfall of between 61 and 97 millimeters from the 1st to the 28th of each month.
