On Tuesday, Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) will leave for a one-day trip abroad to London, where a meeting of the Visegrad Group (V4 – Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary) with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is taking place.
He will first hold a separate meeting of the V4 prime ministers, followed by a plenary meeting with Johnson. The main topics will be European security in the war in Ukraine, energy, and cyber security.
Then, after lunch, Fiala will lay a wreath at the Battle of Britain Memorial, and then he will hold bilateral talks with his British counterpart, Johnson.
In January, Fiala’s first foreign steps were to Slovakia, which is traditionally the first place prime ministers visit after their appointment. In his new role, he also visited Brussels, where EU leaders were meeting.
