Two sections of the Prague metro will be closed simultaneously for repairs, causing restrictions to residents and visitors of the Czech capital for four days. From April 7th to 10th inclusive, the sections between I.P. Pavlova – Vltavská (line C) and Náměstí Míru – Strašnická (line A) will not be accessible to passengers, according to the Prague Transport Company.
During these dates, repair workers will replace old rails and sleepers with new ones. For passengers’ convenience, compensatory bus routes XC (I. P. Pavlova – Muzeum – Hlavní nádraží – Florenc – Vltavská – Nádraží Holešovice) and XA (Staré Strašnice – Strašnická – Želivského – Flora – Vinohradská vodárna – Náměstí Míru, continuing as line number 36 through I. P. Pavlova towards Vltavská, ending at Výstaviště terminal) will be organized.
Additional information can be found here.
The metro will return to regular operation on Tuesday morning, April 11th.
