You might be disappointed if you were hoping for sunny and hot weather this week. According to meteorologist Dagmar Honsová, this week will bring more rain and cooler temperatures.
It will still be sunny starting the week, but as the week progresses, the rain will return. Honsová warns that there may be occasional thunderstorms as well.
“Summer temperatures will take a break in the new work week, and even the lowest morning temperatures will only drop to 6°C midweek. At the beginning of the week, it will still be sunny due to the influence of a high-pressure ridge from the northeast, but a high-altitude low will replace it, and we will have to take out our umbrellas again. Occasional thunderstorms will also occur, but they will not be as strong as in previous days. Summer temperatures will probably not return until the weekend,” says Honsová.
On Monday, there will be partly cloudy to sunny skies with morning temperatures ranging from 12 to 8°C and daytime temperatures reaching 20-24°C.
Tuesday will bring the first raindrops. The day will start with partly cloudy skies but become increasingly cloudy. Some areas may experience isolated showers or rain. Morning temperatures will drop to 10-6°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 18-23°C.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with some isolated showers and thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will be 10-6°C and daytime temperatures will range from 17-22°C.
Thursday will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with some isolated showers and thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will be around 10-6°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 19-23°C.
On Friday, temperatures will rise slightly, although the rain will not completely disappear. There will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will range from 12-8°C, and daytime temperatures will be 20-24°C.
The weekend will bring temperatures above 25°C. Saturday will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will be 15-11°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 21-25°C.
Sunday will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will be 14-10°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 22-26°C.
