Temperatures will significantly drop

Temperatures around 20 °C will last until the end of the workweek. The slight cooling will start over the weekend. Still, a significant drop in temperatures is predicted for next week, when cold air from the north will penetrate central Europe, and morning temperatures will return to values below the freezing point, said Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová.

“Thanks to warm southwestern flow, we will experience significantly above-average temperatures that will peak around 20°C until the end of the workweek. It will cool down slightly on the weekend, and snow will return to the mountains. At the same time, the beginning of next week will bring a further drop in air temperatures, with cold air coming in from the north and snowflakes returning to lowlands,” summarized the meteorologist on the development of the next few days.

On Thursday, there will be mostly cloudy skies, with occasional clearings. Showers may appear, especially in the north or northwest. Temperatures will rise similarly to Wednesday, reaching 20°C, with even higher temperatures possible, particularly in southern Moravia.

It will be mostly cloudy on Friday, with rain or showers throughout the country. Morning temperatures will drop to 10-6 °C, with daytime highs mostly reaching 14-18 °C and up to 20°C in southern Moravia. However, a fresh wind will lower the perceived temperature.

On Saturday, it will be mostly cloudy with rain or showers across most of the country, with snow possible in the mountains. Morning temperatures will range from 9-5 °C, with daytime temperatures reaching 11-15 °C.

On Sunday, it will be mostly cloudy with rain or showers in some areas, with snowfall possible in mountainous regions. Morning temperatures will be between 7-3 °C, with daytime highs reaching 8-12 °C and up to 2°C warmer in the country’s southeast.

It will be mostly cloudy from Monday to Wednesday, with rain or showers possible in some areas. On Monday, snowfall is possible in central areas. Morning temperatures will range from 5-1°C, with daytime highs mostly reaching 4-8°C.

On Tuesday, rain and snow may occur even in lowland areas. Morning temperatures may be frosty, ranging from 1 to -3 °C, with daytime highs expected to be between 3-7°C.

Wednesday will bring no change, with mostly cloudy skies and showers, including in the lowlands. Morning temperatures will range from 2 to -2°C, with daytime highs reaching 4-8°C.
