The hot summer weather will return this weekend, with afternoon temperatures expected to reach the tropical threshold of 30°C in some areas. However, thunderstorms will also make an appearance. The warm weather is anticipated to continue into next week, though it won’t be extreme, meteorologist Dagmar Honsová informed Novinky.
In the second half of the week, cold northwesterly airflow will be replaced by warm air from the southwest. “Over the weekend, our weather will be influenced by a wavering cold front, so we must again expect thunderstorms in some areas, which can be strong and cause damage. The beginning of next week will be sunny, with afternoon temperatures again reaching tropical levels,” Honsová explained.
On Thursday, it will be cloudy, with occasional rain or showers. By the afternoon, we can expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures between 20 and 24°C.
It will be mostly partly cloudy on Friday, with occasional showers in areas with temporarily increased cloud cover and temperatures between 22 and 26°C. Morning lows will drop to between 9 and 11°C.
“On Saturday, it will be partly cloudy, with increasing cloud cover and occasional rain and thunderstorms, which can be locally strong,” the meteorologist stated. Morning temperatures will range between 12 and 16°C, and during the day, temperatures will be between 26 and 30°C.
Cloudy to overcast skies, with occasional rain or thunderstorms, are also expected on Sunday. Morning lows will remain between 12 and 16°C, while daytime temperatures will vary significantly – around 20°C in the west and up to 30°C in the east.
Cloudy conditions with occasional rain or showers will persist on Monday. Morning temperatures will stay between 12 and 16°C; in the afternoon, they will rise to between 20 and 25°C.
Temperatures will rise again on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both days will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. On Tuesday, the lowest morning temperatures will range between 10 and 14°C, and during the day, they will range between 24 and 28°C. On Wednesday, morning temperatures will be between 11 and 15°C; during the day, they could reach between 27 and 31°C.
