In this week’s weather forecast, we can expect significant rain while temperatures remain high. The unusually warm autumn continues with above-average temperatures, but the sky will start to resemble the season we are in. While temperatures remain relatively high, frontal systems bring clouds, frequent precipitation, and wind. Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová shared these insights.
Changes in the Weather
Honsová says, “The last week of October will resemble a gloomy autumn, as we’ll pull out our umbrellas and raincoats starting Tuesday. Several frontal systems will pass over the Czech Republic.”
The afternoon temperatures will remain slightly above average despite the changing weather conditions. On sunny days, we can expect temperatures to reach 18 degrees Celsius. Friday and Saturday will be ideal for flying kites but be prepared for wind gusts reaching up to 50 km/h.
Monday will still bear the remnants of a summery weekend. It will be partly cloudy or clear, with fog or low morning clouds. However, cloudiness will increase in the afternoon. Morning temperatures will range from 9 to 5 degrees Celsius, rising to 14 to 18 degrees Celsius during the day.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with fog in some areas during the morning. As the afternoon approaches, more clouds will move in from the west, accompanied by rain and isolated thunderstorms. Morning temperatures will be between 11 and 7 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will reach 14 to 18 degrees Celsius again.
Wednesday will mark the typical gloomy autumn weather. It will be overcast or cloudy, with occasional showers in the morning. However, the clouds will gradually break up, leading to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Morning temperatures will range from 12 to 8 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures reaching between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius during the day.
Thursday will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, but cloudiness will increase again in the afternoon, accompanied by rain or showers in some areas. Fog may appear in isolated places during the morning. Morning temperatures will be lower, ranging from 8 to 4 degrees Celsius, but will rise to 13 to 17 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
Weather for Kite Flying
The sky will be mostly cloudy on Friday, with rain or showers. In the afternoon, precipitation will subside, and cloudiness will decrease. Morning temperatures will range from 11 to 7 degrees Celsius, and afternoon temperatures will reach 13 to 17 degrees Celsius. It will be windy throughout the day.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and temporary clearings. Fog may appear in some areas during the morning. Morning temperatures will drop to 10 to 6 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will reach 12 to 16 degrees Celsius. Windy conditions will persist.
Sunday will be partly cloudy to mostly clear, with only isolated showers and morning fog. Morning temperatures will range from 9 to 5 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures will reach 12 to 16 degrees Celsius.
That concludes this week’s weather forecast, with a mix of rain, clouds, and mild temperatures. Stay prepared and enjoy the changing autumn weather!
