The weather in the Czech Republic is expected to be influenced by a low-pressure area towards the end of the week, bringing frequent rainfall. According to meteorologist Dagmar Honsová, while the daily maximum temperature will not exceed 20°C, there is no danger of morning frost, which is associated with the three Ice Saints, a traditional Central European weather phenomenon.
Honsová noted that the low-pressure area would move northeastward from the central Mediterranean through Czech territory. The so-called Ice Saints, which appear on the calendar from May 12th to May 14th, are expected to be more like the most well-known June weather phenomenon, Saint Medard.
On Thursday, it will be mostly partly cloudy or mostly sunny, with more cloudiness only in the west and southwest, where rain showers are expected with temperatures up to 14°C. In the rest of the territory, afternoon highs will range from 16°C to 20°C.
On Friday, it will be mostly cloudy to overcast, with meteorologists predicting rain or showers in the southern and central parts of the country. In contrast, showers are expected only in some places elsewhere. The north may experience partly cloudy skies. Morning temperatures will fall to 10°C to 6°C, with daytime highs reaching 14°C to 18°C or around 12°C in the south.
According to Honsová, Saturday will be overcast with some rainfall or showers, especially in the eastern part of the country. On the west side, skies will be partly cloudy. Morning temperatures will remain between 10°C and 6°C, with daytime highs of 14°C to 18°C.
Sunday will offer overcast skies with some rainfall or showers, possibly with some thunderstorms in some areas. Morning temperatures will be between 10°C and 6°C, with daytime highs ranging from 15°C to 19°C.
On Monday, the skies will be overcast with rain or showers in most parts of the country, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. The lowest morning temperatures will be between 11°C and 7°C, with daytime highs reaching 13°C to 17°C.
Tuesday is expected to remain overcast to cloudy, with rain or showers in most parts of the country. Morning temperatures will stay between 11°C and 7°C, with daytime highs reaching 11°C to 15°C.
Finally, Wednesday should offer primarily cloudy skies, possibly with showers and morning temperatures between 9°C and 5°C. Daytime highs will range from 14°C to 18°C. Overall, the week will be marked by cooler temperatures and frequent rainfall, with possible thunderstorms in some areas.
