LAVRS Market
In our articles, you could read about the best thrift shops in Prague chosen by us, which promote sustainability and slow fashion. Now, 11 select Prague second-hand shops are coming together for a unique pop-up event, offering their pieces to visitors.
Attendees will be able to shop for used second-hand goods and products and clothing from Czech brands. Throughout the day, various lectures and workshops will take place. Food, drinks, and live music will also be available. The ambassador of the market is Kamila Vodochodská, a renowned fashion designer and fashion coach. The entire event focuses on sustainability and supporting the circular economy.
Admission starts at 160 Czech korunas. LAVRS Market will take place in the unconventional space of Gabriel Loci on Holečkova Street.
Open House Prague
The Open House Prague festival annually opens dozens of usually inaccessible homes and spaces throughout the capital city. This year, it invites you to extraordinary experiences from May 15th to May 21st. Lectures, discussions, and guided tours are prepared.
As part of the weekend program, selected buildings will also offer special tours for children aged 5 and above. International Art Exhibition in Prague
On Thursday, May 18th, at 7 p.m., the biennial international exhibition of original art began. The event will take place at Čapková síň on Anenská Street. The exhibition competition includes artistic works and crafts from international artists from France, England, Ireland, the United States, Germany, the Czech Republic, and other countries.
The competition will cover drawing, graphics, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and other disciplines. Jana Tichá and Isabella Evangelisti will judge the best works. The exhibition director is the renowned American artist Susan Loy, famous for her watercolor paintings.
Live Broadcasts of Czech Team Matches
The Radlice Cultural Sports Hall offers live broadcasts of the Czech team’s matches at the Ice Hockey World Championship. A four-meter screen is ready, and beer is flowing. During the screenings, you can compete with the Jägermeister brand for prizes with a hockey championship theme.
