Calls for Resignation: Head of Prague Services Under Scrutiny

According to sources, it is claimed that the head of Prague Services should step down. Employees of Prague Services are reportedly concerned about attacks on their company appearing in the media. These attacks are based on misleading and often factually incorrect information. The criticisms from councilor Jana Komrsková (Pirates) are particularly bothersome to the employees.

PragueIN.cz has learned from three independent sources that Deputy Mayor Svoboda’s deputy is targeting the current director of Prague Services, Patrik Roman. The sources, representing ODS, TOP09, and ANO, spoke independently. Two sources also mentioned that Jana Komrsková’s advisor, Petr Beneš, could become Roman’s successor. Beneš is currently a member of the Prague 10 Council for the Pirates and a member of the local property committee.

Both Beneš and Roman denied these claims. Beneš stated that he rules out such ambitions as it would be a blatant conflict of interest. Komrsková’s deputy also dismissed the idea, stating that it is absurd and utterly detached from reality. If there were any considerations to replace the director of Prague Services, it would be done through a proper, transparent, and open selection process.

However, the final decision lies with the supervisory board. According to the information available, there are no plans for such changes. The new composition of the supervisory board will meet for the first time this week.

We also contacted two of Komrsková’s city council colleagues, unaware of any possible changes in the top position at Prague Services. One counselor expressed that Roman could leave and mentioned past issues with him, his arrogant behavior, and the constant agreements with AVE that many people are dissatisfied with. The other councilor had not heard about Beneš but found it plausible, as they had wondered why Komrsková strongly opposed Roman.

Members of the supervisory board, bound by confidentiality, declined to comment on the matter. However, unofficially, it is said that discussions about the change have taken place. Some notable members of the supervisory board include Lukáš Wagenknecht, Eva Tylová, Radomír Nepil, Jan Kavalírek, and Alexander Bellu.

Participation in the organs of Prague Services has long been considered one of the most lucrative positions.
