People vaccinated against covid-19, and those who had a virus are gaining more freedom in Germany. They will not need tests anymore, and they will not be subject to night curfew or quarantine. However, the obligation to wear respirators and masks remains. The proposal to dismantle, which has already been approved by the government and deputies, was supported by the Federal Council, representing the German Lands. If the new quarantine regulation is published immediately in the Federal Newspaper, the new regime will apply from the weekend.
Czechs who are vaccinated or have suffered from the disease in the previous six months will also benefit from adjusting conditions. They will not be subject to quarantine upon arrival. For now, it is ten days quarantine which can be shortened with the test after five days.
New rules in Germany
Before the all-German relaxation of the vaccinated and the health conditions, the individual federal states took a similar step. However, the validity of their benefits is always limited to the particular region. The new national German measure and its regional versions do not require vaccination and negative tests when visiting hairdressers or shops that do not sell daily necessities. People who are officially considered immune can meet again in private without any restrictions. In the most affected regions, only one person from another household can visit friends or relatives. Children are not included in this list as they will no longer be protected from the virus.
Only vaccinated and healed patients will be subject to quarantine if they enter Germany from mutated areas or come into contact with a mutated coronavirus in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Germany’s primary institution for preventing and controlling diseases, maintains a list of epidemically risky countries. Now, no region can be identified as an area with dangerous mutations.
Back to normal life
Vaccinated people who have been fully immunized with EU-approved vaccines, respectively registered by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI), which acts as a drug regulator in Germany, will benefit. Complete vaccination for substances from Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca, and Moderna means two doses; for Johnson & Johnson, it is one dose. At least two weeks must have passed since the final dose. Proof of vaccination can be in paper or in digital form. If it is not in the German language, the English, French, Italian or Spanish versions will suffice. Cured people will show a positive PCR test result, indicating that they have been infected. This positive test must be at least 28 days old and no more than half a year old.
