Hotel Guest Leaves Snake Behind in Prague Room

The Prague police reported an unusual incident where a hotel administrator in the city’s Prague 2 district called the emergency line 156 to report that a housekeeper had found a snake in one of the rooms that a guest had left behind. It is also possible that the reptile escaped unnoticed from its enclosure.

The dispatcher sent an animal control officer to the scene. The snake was harmless – a royal python approximately one meter long. The expert took the snake and brought it to a shelter for homeless animals in the Troya area.

There, the snake will wait for its owner. If the owner does not come forward, the reptile can be “adopted” by anyone who wishes to do so.
