In Czechia, the COVID epidemic continues to subside.

According to the Health Ministry’s data this morning, Czechia confirmed 2,483 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 16 percent less than a week earlier, and the country now has 146 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last four days, the reproduction number R, which represents the number of people infected by one positive individual, has been fluctuating around 0.88. It has been below one for 15 days, indicating that the outbreak in the country is subsiding.

Over three million vaccine doses against COVID-19 have been administered and more than 980,000 people have been completely vaccinated since the inoculation began on December 27 in Czechia.
