The end of the week will be marked by snowflakes. The snowfall that will arrive on Friday in connection with the frontal interface will not be the domain of the higher altitudes, but will also occur in the lowlands. Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová told us.
“At the end of the working week, the inversion of the autumn weather will be replaced by the first step into winter. On Friday, a low pressure ridge will start to influence the weather in our area, and we expect the first snowfall of this autumn on the frontal interface with the formation of snow cover outside the mountainous areas, ” Honsova described the end of the working week.
Before that happens, low clouds and fog will still prevail on Thursday. Isolated drizzle or light snow showers will also occur, possibly with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will range from 1 to 5 degrees Celsius, with highs in the northeast reaching 7 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, the aforementioned frontal boundary will arrive, bringing heavier precipitation to the eastern half of the country, which will be snowy from above 300 metres.Temperatures will drop to 2 to -3 degrees Celsius in the morning and rise to 1 to 3 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
