Spring Temperatures Swept Away by Strong Winds

As we step into February, distinctly above-average temperatures await us. Over the weekend and at the beginning of the following week, the highest daily temperatures will cross the ten °C mark. The warmest day might be Monday, with temperatures potentially reaching 13 °C, according to meteorologist Dagmar Honsová. However, these high temperatures will be tempered by strong winds.

On Thursday, the weather will be influenced by a cold front, with overcast skies dominating most regions. Rain will be added to the mix during the day, and for altitudes above 800 meters, there will be mixed or snow showers. The snow line will gradually decrease, but precipitation will also decrease. Temperatures will likely range between 3 and 8 °C, although the fresh northwesterly wind will lower the perceived temperature. This wind will continue to strengthen over the following days.

Friday will bring clouds and overcast conditions, with rain in some places and initial snowfall in the mountains. Morning temperatures will drop to as low as -2 °C, with daily highs reaching 4 to 8 °C. A fresh wind is mainly expected in Bohemia.

Saturday will be cloudy and overcast in the north, and rain will be added in some places. Morning temperatures will drop to between 6 and 1 °C, and afternoon temperatures will reach between 8 and 12 °C. Honsová added that fresh wind should still be expected in Bohemia.

Sunday, too, will bring predominantly cloudy to overcast conditions, with rain in some places. The lowest morning temperatures will fluctuate between 8 and 4 °C, and during the day, they will reach between 8 and 12 °C. The wind will strengthen and could reach speeds around 70 kilometers per hour in gusts.

The weather, with significant cloudiness and occasional rain, will continue on Monday. The lowest morning temperatures will drop between 8 and 4 °C, and daily highs will look at 8 to 13 °C. Windy weather will continue with gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour.
