The Elite Model Look contest winner was the sixteen-year-old Amelie Konselová from the Czech Republic. She became the sixth Czech woman to win the prestigious contest.
The Elite Model Look is a yearly fashion modeling event. It is used to discover and launch female fashion models in the international fashion marketplace. Each year, the contest attracts approximately 350,000 participants from more than 70 countries globally, with castings held in almost 800 cities. Participants between the ages of 14 and 26 compete in local contests for a chance to represent their country in the world final.
The big final of the contest was initially supposed to take place in Barcelona, but due to the pandemic, it was held online. ” I was dreaming of winning the first prize, but I didn’t believe it until the last moment. I saw all the girls online, and I wasn’t expecting it at all, ” described Amélie, only 16 years old.
Competing online was a different and perhaps more challenging experience for the finalists. The competition ran for a whole month, and the finalists were also judged based on the tasks they had to complete each week. “One of the tasks was that we had to film our day or take an interview with model Coco Rocho,” Amélie said.
Amelie impressed the jury with her answer to a question, for which she couldn’t prepare in advance. She had to reveal her hidden talent and say what she would change if she had the power. “My hidden talent is that I can sing. I think a lot of people don’t know that. If I had the power, I would like to save children suffering from hunger. That’s what concerns me, and that’s what I’m dealing with, “she said.
