The head of the Customs Administration will quit

The Director-General of the General Directorate of Customs, Milan Poulíček, has asked Finance Minister Zbyněk Stanjura (ODS) to vacate his post. For personal reasons, he intends to quit on 31 May.

Poulíček’s decision was announced on Thursday by the spokeswoman of the General Directorate of Customs, Hana Prudičová.

Poulíček had been in office since 2016. He will leave with the rank of major general.

Poulíček has been with the customs administration, which currently employs around 6,000 people, since 1987.
