The lowest increase in covid infections on weekdays since September 29

On Thursday, the lowest amount of covid-19 cases in the Czech Republic increased on weekdays since September 29. 2615 infections were recorded, so the increase in the number of cases was one-fifth lower than in the previous week, according to the website of the Ministry of Health. The number of vaccinated against covid-19 on Thursday for the first time this week exceeded 60,000. However, it was several thousand lower than the previous Thursday. At that time, more than 72,000 people were vaccinated, the most per day since the start of vaccination.

Approximately 2.72 million doses of vaccine were administered throughout the vaccination period. About 925,000 people have been fully vaccinated so far with vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca.

Since last March, when the first cases of covid-19 appeared in the Czech Republic, the disease has been confirmed in more than 1.6 million people and 28,863 people have died from covid-19. Since the beginning of March this year, when the daily increases in the number of infected people reached almost 17,000, the spread of the disease has been gradually slowing down.
