The Czech Republic reported 257 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, the smallest rise in recent days since the holidays ended. There were 598 cases recorded on Saturday. In Czechia 71 new cases per 100,000 people have been discovered in the last seven days. In the Zlin and Moravian-Silesian areas, however, there are over a hundred cases.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of reproducers rose to 0.81 on Monday compared to Sunday, indicating a slowdown in the epidemic’s spread.
Since the beginning of March, when the number of positive cases increased to nearly 17,000 a day, the epidemic’s spread has slowed. Last week, an average of 1,090 new COVID-19 cases per day was added to the statistics, a week earlier an average number of cases were 1,546 per day.
On Sunday, doctors in the Czech Republic gave 25,466 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, which is about 300 doses more than a week ago.
