A Cool Weekend Ahead

As we enjoy the warm temperatures in the Czech Republic this week, meteorologists predict a weekend cool-down followed by strong storms. But don’t worry—next week, we can look forward to summer temperatures with only occasional showers, according to meteorologist Dagmar Honsová.

“The astronomical summer begins on Thursday, June 20. But from Friday, the dynamics of the atmosphere will rise again – a frontal interface will wave over Central Europe – we also expect very strong storms accompanied by dangerous meteorological phenomena,” says the meteorologist.

The forecast for Thursday indicates mostly clear to partially cloudy skies, with afternoon temperatures ranging between 24 and 28°C. On Friday, it will initially be partially cloudy, with increasing cloudiness from the west and scattered showers, rain, and possibly strong storms. Morning temperatures will drop to between 18 and 14°C, and during the day, they will be between 28 and 32°C, rising to 34°C in the east.

Moving into Saturday, the day will start off mostly cloudy, especially in the east, with rain or showers. As the day progresses, it will be partially sunny. Morning temperatures will drop to between 20 and 15°C, and during the day, it will be between 23 and 27°C.

On Sunday, we can expect more cloudiness with mostly cloudy to overcast skies, occasional rain, showers, or storms. Morning temperatures will drop to between 16 and 12°C, with a high of 25°C during the day. We can look forward to similar temperatures on Monday, with the difference being that it should be partly sunny.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the sky should also be partially clear, with occasional showers during times of increased cloudiness. Morning temperatures on both days will drop to between 16 and 12°C, and during the day, it will be between 23 and 27°C.
