A lorry collided with a train in Rakovník on Friday. No one was injured. Traffic on the local line is stopped. The driver entered the track when the red warning lights were on.
The train struck the semi-trailer of the truck, driven by a foreigner, at 6:00 a.m. “Four people were traveling in it. No one was injured,” said police spokeswoman Barbora Schneeweissová.
A breath test revealed that neither the driver, born in 1971, nor the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Warning lights protected the crossing, and there were no barriers.
At 7:00 a.m., the police spokeswoman said the crashed car had already been removed from the line, and traffic should resume after 8:00 a.m., according to the Czech Railways website. During the stoppage, passengers were transported by replacement buses.
