Health Minister Adam Vojtěch (ANO) and Chief Hygienist Pavla Svrčinová will speak at a press conference on Thursday. The epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic is deteriorating. The number of newly infected people is climbing by the thousands, and the number of hospitalized people is also increasing.
Because of this, Vojtěch is considering that only the PCR test would be accepted at mass events, so the antigen test might not be enough.
“We are dealing with the issue of a certain modification of the regime of mass events. I don’t want to say now specifically what it should look like,” the minister said on Wednesday.
Chief hygienist Svrčinová made similar comments. However, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) said on Tuesday that there were no plans to tighten the measures in the coming days.
