Exploring the Czech Real Estate Market with Nick Marley

Nick Marley, a British expat who has been living in Prague since 2008, saw an opportunity in the Czech real estate market that was not being addressed. In 2011, he founded Investment Solutions Group (ISG), a company that focuses on helping expats find properties to invest in across the Czech Republic. With a full suite of services, including property management and sale, ISG offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges of investing in a foreign country. In this interview, we speak to Nick about his journey as an expat entrepreneur in the Czech Republic, his outlook on the current real estate market, how ISG has adapted to changes in the market over the years, and his plans for the future.

CzechDaily: Good morning, Nick. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you came to found Investment Solutions Group?

Nick Marley: Good morning, thank you for having me. I’m originally from England, and I moved to Prague in 2008. I fell in love with the city and decided to stay here long-term. After working in the real estate industry for a few years, I saw a need for a company that specifically catered to the expat community in the Czech Republic. That’s why I founded Investment Solutions Group in 2011.

CzechDaily: Can you tell us more about what ISG does and what makes it unique?

Nick Marley: Certainly. ISG is focused on Czech real estate opportunities as well as various investments into real estate. We specialize in helping expats find properties to buy in the Czech Republic. What makes us unique is that we offer a full suite of services, from finding the right property to purchase, to managing it and even selling it when the time comes. We take care of everything, so our clients don’t have to worry about a thing.

CzechDaily: What is your outlook on the current real estate market in the Czech Republic?

Nick Marley: I expect the market to continue to gently decline until inflation gets under control. However, having said that, there are still many opportunities because prices have already decreased a lot. There are always opportunities in the market if you’re looking in the right place. That’s why it’s so important to work with a company like ISG, who can help you navigate the market and find the best opportunities. – That’s what we help our clients with on a daily basis

CzechDaily: How has ISG adapted to changes in the market over the years?

Nick Marley: We’ve adapted by staying on top of market trends and anticipating the needs of our clients. For example, we’ve noticed a change in clients’ preferences towards energy-efficient properties. Therefore, we’ve taken the initiative to educate our clients in this area, as it’s not as straightforward as it may seem. We’ve also expanded our services to include property management, which has been a big value-add for our clients. We’re always looking for ways to improve and grow, so we can provide the best possible service to our clients.

CzechDaily: What are your future plans for ISG?

Nick Marley: Moving forward, our aim is to expand our services and further grow our company. We aspire to be the top choice for expats seeking real estate investment opportunities in the Czech Republic and are exploring prospects across the entire country. Additionally, we’re investing in cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of our services. Our ultimate objective is to lead the industry and deliver an unparalleled experience to our valued clients.
