At Slapy Reservoir, the sports hall of a military rehabilitation center caught fire on Wednesday afternoon. Around 80 firefighters declared the second alarm level out of four possible during the intervention.
The fire was controlled after about two and a half hours without any injuries. The initial information from the firefighters indicated that the roof was on fire.
The Ministry of Defense will comment on the preliminary cause and estimate of the damage. Currently, nine units are on the scene, extinguishing and using thermal cameras to locate hidden hotspots.
