It draws visitors in with dozens of works of art dating from the 1970s to the present. People will be able to witness the well-known “scenes from apartment complexes,” as well as the author’s most recent extraordinary paintings from the epidemic time, which he spent in the Šumava countryside. This is where he creates the majority of his works.
Michael Rittstein is inspired by the atmosphere of public transportation, swimming pools, country taverns, and human habitation. “His emotive paintings, worsened by outrageous exaggeration to the point of ridiculousness, conceal reflections about the intricacy of interpersonal relationships,” stated Petr Mach, curator of the author’s earlier exhibition at the Prague Castle Riding Hall.
