Firefighters Found the Torso Of a Human Body. Only One Room In The House In Prague’s Dubči District Was On Fire.

The torso of a human body was found on Friday morning while fighting a fire in a family house in Prague’s Dubči district. The cause of the fire is still unknown, said Martin Kavka, a spokesman for the Prague firefighters.

The damage after the fire was estimated at around CZK 500,000. Firefighters said on Twitter that only one room in the house was on fire.

Firefighters responded to the fire in V Křížkách Street before 6:00. “Firefighters deployed two water jets to destroy the flames, one on the ground floor and the other on the roof of the house,” Kavka said. According to him, the firefighters got the fire under control in just 20 minutes and then finished extinguishing and ventilating the house.

“During the intervention, the torso of a human body was found, so the coroner was called to the scene,” the spokesman added. The fire is now being investigated by firefighters and police.
