Outdoor pools will be open from May 31st with a capacity of 50%. Besides in the swimming pools only the changing rooms will be accessible to visitors inside. Health Minister Petr Arenberger said at a press conference this Monday (May 24th) following a government meeting.
According to Arenberger, outdoor pools must comply with established hygiene standards, but swimming in water does not require respiratory protection. Due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the government has banned indoor sports grounds, including swimming pools, since October 9th last year.
In addition, the Minister of Health announced that 250 people would be able to attend indoor and outdoor congresses and conferences beginning May 31st. Museums and monuments will be open to tour groups of up to 30 people, starting at the end of May. If the disease condition does not escalate, the inside gastronomic establishments will reopen on June 14th.
