Pubs, restaurants and bars will close after 10pm from Friday

Pubs, restaurants, bars, and other catering establishments will have to close after 10pm from Friday. Along with this, the consumption of alcohol in public places will also be banned. On Thursday, the resigned government of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) approved this due to the worsening epidemiological situation.

“The presence of the public in restaurants, clubs, gambling halls and casinos is banned from 10 pm to 5 am. The situation is not good at all, not even in the number of people hospitalized, “Minister Vojtěch justified the need for the new restrictions.

At the same time, people will not be able to consume food and drink in restaurants located in the shopping centre from 6 pm tomorrow. They will only be able to buy it there and eat it elsewhere.

He also reminded the public that proof of infection-free status is still needed to enter a restaurant. This includes a certificate of vaccination or proof of having tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 180 days. Tests are no longer sufficient.
