A malfunction in the traction line between stations Dobřichovice and Prague-Radotín complicated train operations between Prague and Beroun on Friday morning. Trains are running on a single track from two. Czech Railways (ČD) has canceled most of the S7 line passenger trains between Prague’s central station and Řevnice, or Radotín and Beroun, while long-distance connections are delayed. Traffic restrictions are expected to last until noon.
According to a representative from Czech Railways, a supporting cable of the traction line snapped in the night over one of the tracks in the Radotín to Dobřichovice section.
“As a result, a passenger train ran into the fallen cable,” the representative said.
Work to fully restore the section is still ongoing. According to ČD, the restriction on the track will last until approximately noon, but the time is only approximate.
“The date of full-service restoration will be updated continuously,” the operator said on its website.
