Businesses can apply for a grant to reconstruct or purchase a new property in damaged villages in South Moravia and Ústí nad Labem until 15 October. The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) has extended the deadline for applications to the post-tornado aid program. It was initially due to end on 30 September. CZK 200 million is available for support.
According to MIT, some entrepreneurs still do not have the relevant documents to recognize compensation, so the ministry decided to postpone receiving applications. It started on 30 June.
As of 21 September, the CzechInvest State Agency, which is responsible for the program’s administration, recorded 167 applications for CZK 82 million. Of these, 130 applications worth approximately CZK 59.6 million had been submitted to the MIT by the same date.
The Office is gradually sending money to entrepreneurs’ accounts, and as of 21 September, it had paid 110 applications worth CZK 48.9 million.
