No More Drinking After Midnight at Naplavka

@Ewelin_Svk

Drinking alcohol after midnight on the embankment in Prague’s Podskalí neighborhood and the Hořejší j embankment in Smchov will be prohibited. Meanwhile, the ship’s problematic bar near the Palackého Bridge has been removed, and a restaurant with trees on the deck and calm sitting will be built.

The city is drafting an update to the legislation addressing the consumption of alcohol in public settings.

Local residents have complained in the past about the loudness and drunken people, and the situation did not sit well with the Prague 2 authorities. The infamous Captain Morgan bar, which has been making noise, was renamed, Martina. It will have a calmer environment and a new concept.

Cultural, social, and sports events will be part of the program on the embankments. A children’s day will be held on June 1st, followed by a festival of open workshops in Mid-June, where visitors will be able to try out making various crafts.
