Over one million people have complete full vaccination against COVID-19 while more than two million have received at least one vaccine dose.
The vaccine was made available in the country at the end of December 2020. Clients of senior homes and healthcare workers were the first to be vaccinated, accompanied by other classes of seniors and teachers.
All residents over the age of 16 can register as of July. Arenberger predicted that the clinical trials allowing children to be inoculated would be completed by the fall.
