“At around 15:20, an unknown man climbed up a ladder to St Wenceslas and put a sticker on the statue’s face. He then got into his car and drove off,” Jan Rybanský, a spokesman for Prague police, told Novosti.
Firefighters were called and removed the sticker from the platform. According to an employee of the Prague City Gallery, the statue was not damaged in any way.
The police have documented the incident and so far have not found any violations, Rybanský said, adding that the investigation may yet change the situation.
