The Czech Republic is slightly behind the EU average in vaccination coverage

Vaccination against coronavirus started in the Czech Republic on 27 December last year, as in most other EU countries. Since then, more than five million people have been fully vaccinated in the Czech Republic, i.e., 46.8 percent of the population. The total number of vaccines administered is over 10.5 million.

The Czech Republic ranks 16th in the EU in this respect (it improved by two places compared to July), with the best position in the EU being occupied by Malta, where almost 88% of the population has been fully vaccinated.

Belgium ranks second in the EU with 60.5 percent of the population vaccinated, followed by Spain, where over 59 percent of the population is fully vaccinated.

The EU average is 50.4 percent. Globally, 15 percent of the population is fully vaccinated.
