On Tuesday evening, a middle-aged woman did not survive a collision with a metro train at Petřiny station in Prague 6. Metro service was stopped on the part of the A-line because of the accident.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 pm at Petřiny metro station. The woman collided with an arriving metro train for unknown reasons.
Firefighters and paramedics intervened at the scene. However, none of them could help the woman, and the doctor pronounced her dead.
Traffic on the A-line was stopped between the Dejvická and Nemocnice Motol stations, and the metro did not start on this part of the line until the end of the night.
Criminal investigators are now examining the circumstances of the whole incident.
