Warning shots were fired on Saturday night during a car chase in Prague 4. The car crew was subsequently caught, but police discovered that the 20-year-old driver did not have a driver’s license.

Police received a call from Bajkonurská Street on the 158 number reporting that a group of people, who were drunk, were moving around one of the cars.

“On arrival at the street, officers observed a fiat vehicle matching the description of the reporting party driving away. They decided to stop it, but the driver did not respond to instructions. Both men in the car immediately took off running. Police officers, therefore, fired two shots into the air. The passenger was caught immediately. The driver was tracked down a few minutes later.

The 20-year-old was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but he did not have a driver’s license. The administrative authorities will deal with his offense. No one was injured during the pursuit. The crashed car was taken away by a towing service.
